One purchased unit is one elbow. On the Tahoe Clean-Face Peninsula and See-Through 36 direct-vent fireplaces the initial 45-degree elbow is required: Empire's price list marks it required and asks for the same manufacturer as the rest of the vent system.

Key Features

45-degree elbow for 5 x 8 direct-vent pipe.

Required as the initial elbow on the Tahoe Clean-Face Peninsula and See-Through 36 (DVCP36PP, DVCP36SP).

Considered part of the fireplace: the initial elbow does not factor in the venting calculations.

Use with vent components from the same manufacturer as the rest of the vent system.

Specifications

Model

SD58DVAE45

Angle

45 degrees

Vent system

5 x 8 direct vent

Fits

Tahoe Clean-Face Peninsula and See-Through 36 direct-vent fireplaces (DVCP36PP, DVCP36SP)

Installation & Planning

The fireplace manual treats the initial 45-degree elbow as part of the fireplace.
